April 20 (Reuters) – Employees at an Apple Inc (AAPL.O) store in Atlanta on Wednesday submitted a petition to keep a union election, seeking to grow to be the firm’s 1st U.S. retailer to unionize amid a wave of labor activity at other key companies.

The hard work at the Apple store in Cumberland Mall is backed by the Communications Employees of America, in accordance to a news release issued by the union and employees included in the effort.
