Director-Common of the Nigerian Institute of Transportation Technology (NITT), Dr. Bayero Salih, has appealed to the National Assembly to urgently critique and move the NITT Enabling Act with a view to expanding its scope and inside revenue generation ability.
He created the attractiveness while getting customers of the Joint Home and Senate Committee on Land Transportation, led by Chairman, Household Committee on Land Transportation, Tajudeen Abass, who frequented the institute for an oversight operate in Kaduna.
Salih noted that when reviewed, the Act would cut down the institute’s dependence on the Federal Federal government for funding and increase the economy.
He described that the transportation sector experienced advanced noticeably in contrast with when the institute was set up 35 many years back, introducing: “Hence, we have to have legislative support to streamline the institute’s enabling Act.

Responding, Abbas pledged that the Countrywide Assembly will sponsor the Act and double its initiatives in ensuring that President Muhammadu Buhari signals it into law on or right before July 2023.
